When you rely on receiving your daily newspaper and your mail in the same box, it can get hairy at times. Usually your mail arrives before your paper, and then your paper is jammed into the box crushing both your mail and your paper. Instruct Your News Delivery Person to Put the Paper in the Right or Left Box
Having a double mailbox post means that your mail can go in one box while your newspaper goes in the other. A lot of homeowners, particularly those that live in rural areas, do things this way. You can either instruct your news delivery person to put the paper in one or the other box or you can label the boxes “mail” and “news” so that everyone knows which box to deliver to.
Oversized Envelopes Can Have Their Own Box Too
Along with keeping your daily papers and your mail neat and tidy, you can purchase a double mailbox that has open areas underneath the mailboxes for newspapers. That way, any oversized envelopes or small packages you receive can have their own box and your papers and regular mail have their own boxes and spaces too. They are not only convenient and functional but also very attractive and affordable.
